Happy Baptism, Baby May!
Today May was baptized into the Catholic church. She was a real trooper and didn't cry once during the water or oil or blessings. She only cried a tiny bit during Mass to let us know she was hungry. Her big brother did an equally impressive job of holding it together during a long and (for a toddler) boring service that focused all attention on our new addition. Fortunately, Grandma was there to provide him with moral support and lots of cuddles, and Grandpa was there to ensure the event was captured on film. Not to mention, of course, that they are May and James' godparents . . . after Mass, a trip to Sweet Tomatoes for brunch. May slept, James ate like there was no tomorrow, and we said a sad goodbye to my in-laws. After having them around for so long to help out, it will be strange not to see them on a daily basis. Thanks, John and Char for all of your help!
