Homemade Easter Eggs
Each year that we purchase a Paas egg-dying kit, I always feel so ripped off. So this year, inspired by a website, James and I had a wonderful time turning these plain white eggs into tie-dyed works of art using what we had on hand in the kitchen.
First, we put the eggs a few at a time into a colander in the sink and splashed them with white vinegar.
Then we squirted a couple of drops of color onto the eggs. James shook the colander around to spread the dye. We repeated with two more colors.
After the final round of shaking we poured water on the eggs to rinse them off and then set them aside to dry.
I loved our finished product. You can tell that James was a huge fan of pink, purple and blue!
Way more fun than using a kit, but the color did come off when we peeled them!

Look at you creative mommy! Those look AWESOME!
I can't wait to see the Easter pics...ohhhhhhh and it's almost baby May's birthday!! Can't WAIT for that. =)
Those turned out really great! What a good idea. That seems like a funner way to color eggs than just sticking them in a cup. Olive thought egg dying was quite boring!
