To the Zoo! (May Style)

May was really excited for her day to go to the zoo. She was up and dressed by 7am.
Our first stop was the turkeys. May was convinced that the pigeons were baby turkeys.
We had a lot of snack breaks. Here we are in front of the elephants, waiting for them to wake up and come outside. It was exciting to hear them trumpeting inside!
There was a keeper cleaning out the lemur cage. May watched him for a full 15 minutes as he scrubbed the floor, wiped the windows, and refilled the treat balls.
Then the lemurs came out! May was delighted to see them go straight for their treats.
This girl watched the lemurs for almost a full 30 minutes.
More snacks. This time in the carousel courtyard.
Washing up after our sticky peanut butter and pretzels.
Look at this beautiful, happy girl.

After the carousel, it was time to head for the playground. Here's May running uphill, yet another snack in hand.
Finally, the playground!

May ran out of gas just in time to go pick James up from school. We had a wonderful time.
