I set up a measuring activity last week for May. Each dry good had a paper with an amount written on it: 1, 1/2, 1 and 1/2, and 2.
The idea was for her to scoop out the
beans/lentils/rice/what-have-you into the large measuring cup until she
reached the proper cup line.
After finishing all four containers. She stuck her hand in the split peas. (Don't worry, she asked permission first.)
It must have felt really good, because the next thing I knew she had poured the whole canister out into the pan.
She spent the next 20 minutes just swishing them all around with her hands.
Anyone know how to wash split peas?
