James and Mommy's Day of Fun III & IV
For our third Saturday together, James and I decided to explore the dinosaur museum. We had so much fun that we got a membership and went back the next week! That time we took James's friend Phin, as Phin's parents were attempting to move into a new house .
You can see how much they enjoy being together! Here we have just arrived at the museum after a 30 minute drive and the boys are ready to get started!
James loves the machine that allows you to pick a color for the dinosaur image shown. He is always tempted by purple, but ends up with the more traditional green.
The boys built this big fabric and velcro dinosaur together (with a little help from me, of course).
In the erosion room you can build up sand structures in the water table, decorate them with plastic palm trees and let your dinosaurs run amok while the water current washes your creations away.
Although the big skeletons were impressive, James preferred the baby dinosaur statue.
When you look inside this birdhouse you can see a tiny fossil of a flying reptile.
The boys were very brave about the shark head, although they agreed it would end up eating us.
The final room of the dinosaur museum has two big sandboxes where you can uncover fossils of your own.

I love the first pic with James' arm around Phin! Can you send that one to me?
