I hope all of you had a fantastic holiday and that the new year is already proving joyful.
We had a quiet Christmas Eve at home in Salt Lake (up at 5 am with James who was in the throes of a terrible fever, a trip to the emergency room to find out he had some kind of viral lung infection, home to open presents and take a ton of naps, May and I attending Christmas Vigil Mass by our sweet selves, Little Cesar's hot-n-ready for dinner, and last minute packing.)
Christmas Day was spent in traveling to Wisconsin. We couldn't not go, it's the thing James has most be looking forward to - even above Christmas - plus we had the doctor's blessing as long as we took certain precautions.
In Wisconsin the adults received snowman t-shirt uniforms, and the kids matching jammies (see above) and we reveled in Secret Santa and holiday treats.
My brother and his girlfriend were able to visit us as they were in the nearby Chicago area. It was fun for James to see Uncle Erik in person - they've only been skyping since the last time 18 months ago! And I was proud to show off May.
Honestly, I cannot imagine a trip going more smoothly - even on an airplane with sick kids! (James on the way there, May with croup on the way home.)
My in-laws are such a fun and welcoming family, and spending the holidays with them was a real treat.
