Happy 4th of July!

Our 4th of July actually started on the 3rd, with a trip to the Sugarhouse Arts Festival. Not a lot of art, but we take the bus down which is a big hit with the kids. James made this fancy necklace at the Noodles & Co. booth.
Then we toured an ambulance and he got to "look at his heart" when the paramedics gave him an EKG. After that we hit the bouncy house and he got his face painted.
Because I made him take off his face paint before nap, I promised to replace it after he woke up.
The following morning was really the 4th, so the kids got all dolled up in their red, white and blue for church.
Then a stop by the drugstore to pick up a couple of water-squirters.
May was really excited about the water squirters.
After naptime James and I made lemonade. This is fast becoming a tradition with us. We made one pitcher of regular, and one of blackberry lemonade.

In the evening some friends came over for some backyard fun and food. We broke out the face paint yet again.
May did a lot of sandboxing, but the boys preferred the water toys.
No fireworks, but a fantastic 4th of July!
