Dog Park Playground

Near our house is a dog park that we have often driven past but have never stopped at. The other day we decided to visit the playground right next to the fenced in area. There were our standard faves: slides, swings, climbing bars . . . but there was a new piece of equipment to be mastered: the see-saw!
First, James tried walking along it as a balance beam. But that got tricky after passing the midpoint.
May attempted to pile sand on and off the seats.
But that just gave her a sandy bottom.

They tried out sitting on opposite sides, with James kicking his legs with all his might and May just enjoying the ride. That was fun, but exhausting.
Finally they tried out sitting together on one end and asking Mommy to sit on the other. This was by far the most rewarding use of the see-saw.
After all that hard work we all needed a snack and a drink. Luckily there were benches looking out over the dog-run area, and the kids watched the canine dramas unfold. Thanks for a fun time, dog park playground! We'll be back soon!
