Dynamic Duo

When May first arrived we were overwhelmed by how excited James was to have a baby sister. He spent many a day doting on her. And to be fair, she was tiny, adorable, and not that much trouble. Chad and I wondered how things would change when she began to walk, talk and have her own opinions.

Fortunately, however, despite the incessant (incessant!) bickering some days, these two still make a really cute pair. I'm lucky to have kids who are so willing to play together and team up on various activities - such as:
Creating a stained-glass window in the dining room. I drew the outlines and they spent over an hour dutifully coloring it in.
Here is our finished product, in case you are interested.
James was almost more excited about May's birthday than even she was. He told anyone and everyone about it and was a super birthday helper.
These two often help me with baking. They do a great job of taking turns at pouring ingredients into the bowl. Here they are squishing up bananas for banana bread.
James is a very patient and tolerant little boy. Wherever he is, whatever he's doing, May is pretty sure that must be the coolest option available. She wants whatever toy he's holding, whatever food he's eating, and to look at whatever has captured his attention. Everyday I am blown away and so grateful for his good nature at enduring this kind of admiration/rivalry.

Our family is absolutely the best, and just wouldn't be complete without these two bundles of loving energy!
